I Love To See The Temple....

On Mothers Day we went to Cardston to a baby blessing. It was an absolute GORGEOUS day, so we went for a walk around the Temple. I am so grateful for my little family!! It was nice to be able to be around the Temple with my family and know that we will be together forever!! I love my kids so much, they mean THE WORLD to me. I am also very lucky to have such an amazing husband!! Chad is perfect for me!! My Mothers Day was wonderful.

Crusin' to Cozumel!!!!!!

So I am SOOOOOOO lucky! My boss sent all us girls on a cruise to Cozumel, Mexico! We had soo much fun. I missed my kids like crazy, it was a good thing Chad was home with them. So we flew to Houston, Texas, slept over and then boarded the ship in Galvaston. We cruised to Cozumel and then back to Texas. I had so much fun doing nothing!! Seriously, when we werent in classes, we layed on deck and soaked in the hot mexican sun!! I want to go back!

Easter Fun!!

We had lots of fun this Easter. It was nice to spend time together as a family. We got to have the Michel Easter dinner at the school. Its a fun place to go, especially for our family. When you have 20+ grandkids, its nice to go somewhere they have alot of space to run around!! My mom saved all the dye that the grade 5 classes used to color eggs. The kids got to choose from 20 colors to make thier eggs BEAUTIFUL!! I just wish I got to color a few eggs......but it was more important to keep everything somewhat clean, than take time to color my own.

We also went to Great Falls for a couple days. We stayed in the new Holiday Inn Express. They have a fun pool with a waterslide. The waterslide is super fast. Lilly really enjoyed playing in the little pool with the hippo, and stealing everyone else's water toys!!

So i'm trying to catch up a bit on the past events. I started working at Gibb Orthodontics in October and since then my life has turned into a whirlwind!!! I started working 2 days a week, then went to 3 days a week, then went to 4 days. I absolutly LOVE it there!! I thoroughly enjoy going to work and being around everyone there. Everyone is sooo nice and we have lots of fun together.

Now i'm back to 2 days a week and finding more time to do things......like blogging!! So here are a few pics from the last 6 months!

Fall is Here!!

I love fall!! The color of the trees, the smell in the air, the freshness of nature. I was having a hard time looking out the windows and seeing the trees changing. I love it when the leaves change color, but I felt like it was way to soon. After all, where was summer? But, I figured I should just suck it up and enjoy it. So I did. I love canning and making things from scratch and making good healthy things. So fall is the perfect time to get all that good healthy fresh veggies and fruits to make all that good healthy fresh stuff!! We went to a tree at I have no idea who's house, and picked some apples. Home made applesauce and fruit leather are my fave!! I love to use applesauce in alot of recipes instead of oil, its so much better for you, and it tastes great!!

The kids had fun picking apples, Lilly just dumped the buckets out when they got full, but it was fun. And it is always worth it when you get to sit down and take a big bite of applesauce muffins!! So Good!!

So, we finally got our family pictures done. I have been trying to do this for only about a year!! We got them done by my friend Kaylee Ralph. She is so good!! Tons of really good ideas, and great with the kids. I totally recommend her. It was so fun to get them done. So those are some of my favorites.

Terry Fox Run!!

So, lately I have been a little into running. I wake up at 6:30 and go on a run before Chad has to go to school, and before the kids wake up. It makes my day go by way smoother. I have been getting a little addicted to it. Any of you runners would be able to testify to that!! So anyway, the Cardston Terry Fox Run was put on by my cousin. She is a wonderful person, who lost her husband almost 2 years ago, to cancer. A bunch of the family try to go in it every year, and this was my first year. I loved it!! It was nice to go participate and help with the fight against such a horrible disease. I have had numerous people that are close to me have cancer, and a few who have died from it, so it kinda hits close to home. It was great to see such an awesome support for the Cardston race. It was fun to be able to spend time with my cousins, and catch up!! Oh, and at the end of it, Aunt Patti fed us the best hamburgers smothered in some sort of sweet sauce, squished between her homemade buns!! To Die For!!!!! And homemade lemon cake with super yummy icing for dessert!! We love you Aunt Patti!! I am excited to be able to do this race again next year. Although I do hope for some nicer weather. I would have to say that I was absolutely FREEZING! The pictures will show. Oh ya, and as for the way I look, just remember the circumstance, please!

Flipped Around!!??!!

So, i know i'm not a very good blogger. I do have good intentions, really, but life is busy and I feel guilty when I'm on the computer. It seems like such a waste of time!! But I enjoy it, and i know its important to journal, so heres another crack at it.

My life right now is.....wierd, crazy, a little scary, exciting, and hectic. Let me explain.

So we (Chad and I) have decided that the best thing for our family is for Chad to go to school. So, he is doing upgrading in Lethbridge at the college, and then going to Sait in Calgary next year. We decided to put our house on the market to see if it would sell, and guess what.......it sold in 2 weeks!!! Crazy!! We had to move out quick so our August was a whirlwind of packing, cleaning, moving, and going crazy amongst it all. Chad can not stand the thought of paying someone else's mortgage, which I can understand, so renting a house was not an option for us. So to solve that problem we decided to look for a house to buy. And the pics above are what we found!!! We wanted to keep it cheap, so our options were few. It is small and old but we see some potential. I have to admit, I do get a little tiny bit depressed each time I go over there, but with some positive thinking I quickly get excited again. The previous owner was a smoker, so really, thats the biggest issue. As soon as I walk in the house I feel like I am surrounded by 8 people blowing smoke into my face, but you get used to it after a while, hehe!! With some help from numerous coats of kilz primer, then some texturing, then some more coats of primer, and a coat of color, the smell will no longer be an issue. Then some new flooring and lights will make it nice and cozy!!!! I hope we can get cracking on these things, hopefully to be in by Thanksgiving!! But who really knows, no one is ever done by there estimated date, honestly!!!

So, you'll have to wait and see how it turns out!! I am so very excited, I will post when we are all done. And I'm sure you'll get some updates along the way!! Although with my past blogging record.......you might see by next year!

Halloween!!

So, we had a fun Halloween. I wasn't sure if Luke would get into his costume. He was not really excited about it and when I tryed to get him to try it on he didn't want anything to do with it. But in the end, when he saw all his cousins dressed up, he decided to get in his too! We took the kids to the trunk or treat at the church. Luke was LOVING the fact that people were giving him candy. He thought it was very cool. Then we went to a party at Aunt Brenda's and had some more fun. There were some pretty hardcore costumes. Chads family really know how to do Halloween!! Chads aunts convinced him to dress up as a girl, it was pretty halarious. I think that in every picture Luke is picking his nose. He is in the nose picking stage and driving me crazy!! i don't know if I should just ignore it or get after him every time he does it!?!? Anyway, it was a fun night!! I'm just excited for Christmas now!!

So, I kind of fell of the blogging band wagon and then tried to jump back on. To my suprise I totally forgot my password. I tried to "recover" it , but its not that easy to do. Anyway, I'm back and ready to keep up with the rest of the blogging world. Chad is gone working up north for the week, so this is my time to do as much stuff as I can while he's gone. Sewing, making bows, bracelets, and of course, keeping the house clean. I am making a halloween costume for Lilly. Cute witch kind of thing. I am making a tootoo but not quite sure what to do. Luckily she's not totally counting on me. She'll have no choice but to wear it!!

Rolie Polie....Lilly

We love our Rolie Polie little girl. She is so adorably cute. She is the most content baby in the world. She sleeps through the night and I usually have to wake her up in the morning around 9 or 10. She is sooo happy, loves to smile really big and loves it when you talk to her. Chad can get her to talk really good. Its so fun watching our kids grow and learn new things. Although it goes by way to quick. Lilly has about 4 rolls on each arm and her legs are just about the same. She has rolls on her little tiny fingers and toes. Oh, and we can't forget her neck rolls, the ones that are so deep its hard to find the bottom!!! I just LOVE her to pieces. Every last roll!!! Notice, in the swing picture she even has a roll just above her ankle!

Brownies, Anyone??

So lately we have had to make brownies a few times for different things. And as you can see Luke is quite a fan of the Brownie making. He loves helping me dump ingredients in the bosh and like's to turn it on when I have my back turned!! He thinks its quite halarious. Of course his favorite part is the end when he gets to lick the beaters, and he does'nt hold anything back. He is such a boy, he doesnt even notice that he is covered in batter, literally from head to toe!!

Lilly's Blessing

So we finally found a weekend that both our families could be together and we were able to bless Lilly. We did it at home, and it was very special. We are very grateful for the support of our families and it was nice to all be together. Thanks for the contributions to supper, and sorry for the kinda firm potatoes!! At least they were edible!! Grossmuetti made the gorgeous dress. I am so lucky to have such an amazing heirloom. And thanks to Grandma Hancock for making the slip!! We just love Lilly to bits. She is such a good little girl, and we can't imagine our life without her!!!

Luke + Glasses

Yes, I have a 2 yr old with glasses!! And let me tell you, we LOVE them. First of all, Luke loves them......He can see! His eyes are very bad, we are talking a +8. I don't know how he functioned without them. He was missing out on alot of things. I think back to things I would say, "Look out the car window and see the horses!!" "See the little motorbikes on your Pjamas?" "Look at the hoes and loaders on your sheets." Um, ya, he could not see any of them. Poor kid. When he got his glasses he was in awe!! He could see Sponge Bob on his toothpaste and said, "Wow....cool!!" And all of a sudden his books were a little more exciting. So as you can see, we are very grateful for those cute little glasses upon Lukes nose. He has started talking better and I think that things are making more sense for him. Those of you with glasses know exactly what I'm talking about. So when I think of things that I am so thanful for, Lukes glasses are on the top of my list. As you can see, he even likes to wear Mr. Potato Head glasses too!!

P.S. He has had them for just under 2 months, and we are already on our second pair of frames!!!! You can't expect too much from a 2 yr old! especially when he falls off a trailer, face first into the concrete. Chad has had to take the pliers to them more than once.

So.... here goes blogging for me. I figured I may as well join the world of blogging mommies. It seems like the "thing to do!!" This is my effort to start journaling and letting my family and friends know of my wild and crazy life. Hopefully I don't regret this, although Chad might when I don't get the laundry done, don't clean the house, don't cook supper, and forget about the kids!! Just kidding, I don't think I'll get that obsessed, although there are some of you out there!! So we will see how long this lasts. Wish me luck in my blogging adventure!!!
